Today at Apple’s October event a new version of the iMac was released. The first thing you will notice is that it’s 80% thinner than the previous model, and weights eight pounds less. The computer will come in two sizes, a 21 and 27 inch model. The iMac features many hardware upgrades along with the option at Apple’s new Fusion Drive which combines solid state and flash memory allowing for large amounts of storage with flash speeds. Shipping will start next month at $1299.
