Apple’s iPad Mini Requires iTunes 11 Or Higher, Says So On The Box

| |

Yesterday, a French website posted the very first photos of an iPad Mini being unboxed. This lucky customer received his iPad Mini ahead of Apple’s official November 2nd date. Apparently, the instructions on the iPad Mini box says that the device requires iTunes 11 or higher. But, we have no iTunes 11.
During the iPhone 5 announcement, Apple also told us that iTunes 11 will be available by the end of October. An Apple spokesperson recently told AllThingsD that they’ll be needing more time to get it right with iTunes 11. French site iGen.Fr reports that the iPad Mini doesn’t seem to have any problems with the latest version of iTunes. There’s no icon for the iPad Mini when you connect your device though. Apple wanted to release iTunes 11 along with the iPad Mini launch, but something went wrong.
iTunes 11 is going to be a big change, so it’s okay if Apple needs more time to get rid of any bugs and glitches. iTunes 11 will get a brand new clean interface, improved mini-player and more. We should be seeing the iTunes 11 update coming by the end of November. iPad Mini users can use the current version of iTunes until then, it won’t be any problem.
Those who pre-ordered iPad Minis should start getting theirs on November 2nd. You can also pick one up from an Apple retail store on the same day. Lets hope Apple releases iTunes 11 soon.
